DUTCH SAILOR HENK DE VELDE SAILING HIS NEVER ENDING VOYAGE
07-02-2009

HENK IRIDUM I see in my mobile screen. Today it's Saturday February 6th 2009. "Hello it's Henk. Everything OK. Last night the wind has changed to my favour, it is West now.
The first days out have been rough with 30 knots NE winds, unexpectedly and the nights brought rain. Now everything is OK.
I have sailed more than 650Nm at this moment. 500Nm in the right direction. At this moment the wind is West 5. I feel well. It's antoher 1600Nm to the isle Tristan da Cunha.

I am very happy with my new mast and the Quantum Sails.
First of all, thanks you Roberto, Mercedes, Lucas, Martin, Federico, Karen, Alfredo, Tito, Ange, the whole KING composite team, the QUANTUM team and all the helpfull people anywhere in Argentina and Uruguay. This last country stole my heart ! I have gone. Departed on an other long voyage. We are no more than passing by in eachothers life.

Famous Dutch solosailor Henk de Velde left Argentina on February 2nd 2009 18.30GMT, to sail eastwards heading for Tasmania.

The new DVD containing the first year of The Never Ending Voyage and personal conversations with Henk is available now on this website.
